One of the most popular of the Ontario knives, the 498 Marine Combat Knife is 12" in overall length. The 498 Marine Combat knife has a 7" clip point blade that is made of rugged and reliable 1095 carbon steel, with a Zinc Phosphate finish and is .165" thick The handle of the 498 Marine Combat Knife is 5" long, is weather proofed leather (great for field use), and features a Steel buttcap. The 498 Marine Combat Knife comes complete with a black leather sheath. Ontario Part Number for the 498 Marine Combat Knife is 8180.
